Free educational and entertaining workshops on the occasion of Valentine's Day
At Veliki Tabor Castle, we have prepared suitable educational and entertaining workshops on the occasion of Valentine's Day and Valentine's Week! This Saturday and Sunday, February 17th and 18th, visitors will be able to participate in two workshops that will be held on both days from 12:00 to 14:00.
In the workshop called Like Two Doves, participants will paint a plaster relief of a dove that once adorned wardrobes, mirrors, clocks, door frames, walls and porches of houses as a decorative detail. Doves are an indispensable symbol of Valentine's Day and Valentine's Day due to their loyalty to their partner and family. They are inextricably linked to their chosen ones throughout their lives and are very selfless in their obligations and care for the nest and young. The workshop is intended for all ages, and families and individuals are welcome. Participants will take their creations home as decorations or gifts for their loved ones. The author and leader of the workshop is Andrea Brlobuš.
The workshop In the Footsteps of Taborgrad Legends will be dedicated to two love stories! The first, of course, is the oral tradition about the unhappy love of the lower noblewoman Veronika Desinićka and the nobleman Fridrik II. Celjski, which was entered into the Register of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Croatia as an intangible cultural asset in 2014. No less attractive is the popular medieval legend of Melusina, a fantastic two-tailed fairy, whose figure adorns the ovens of the most beautiful tiled stove of Veliki Tabor. Why the love story of the fairy Melusina and the knight Raymondine does not have a happy ending, visitors will be able to find out in the first part of the workshop, where the workshop leader Renata Dečman will introduce them to the legends. The workshop participants will then test their acquired knowledge by competing in a quiz and solving worksheets that will consist of various tasks, questions, crosswords, labyrinths and eight-way puzzles.
The workshops are free, and admission to the Museum is charged according to the regular price list.
We look forward to your arrival!
