Veliki Tabor Castle is the winner of the ”Golden Pin” award
Veliki Tabor Castle is one of ten castles and palaces in Croatia that have become recipients of the Golden Pin award!
The Golden Pin is a recognition awarded by Google based on the ratings and reviews of Google Maps users. The idea of awarding the best-rated places originated in Poland as part of the celebration of the 15th birthday of Google Maps.
Since the project was very well received not only by the winners, but also by users who felt local pride, Google decided to expand the project to other countries. So, starting this year, the project is also being implemented in Croatia, where Google awarded locations in the Castles and Palaces category. Accordingly, the castles and palaces that received the highest average rating from Google Maps users were selected.
Among the awardees, in addition to Veliki Tabor Castle, are Trakošćan Castle, Eltz Castle, Old Town Čakovec, Trsat Castle, Old Town Ozalj, Morosini-Grimani Castle, Frankopan Castle (Krk), Diocletian's Palace and Sponza Palace.
We would like to thank all our visitors whose praiseworthy ratings and reviews enabled us to become the winners of this truly wonderful award!
Congratulations to all the other winners!
