European Archaeology Days 2023 at Veliki Tabor Castle
On Friday, June 16, the celebration of the European Archaeology Days will be held at the Veliki Tabor Castle.
With the aim of popularizing and presenting archaeology, we have prepared a suitable program that will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors will be able to view the museum exhibitions in an organized professional costumed tour. There will also be several educational and entertaining workshops intended for children over five years of age and adults: Making a Knight's Chainmail, What Do Archaeological Findings from Veliki Tabor Tell?, Meluzina Puzzle, and Memory - Museum Objects. The film Reconstruction of Renaissance Kilns, by Ivana Škiljan and Sylva Antony Čekalová, will also be shown. By watching this short seven-minute film, visitors will learn what the restoration of the kilns looked like and then the reconstruction of three Renaissance tiled kilns in Veliki Tabor.
From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., admission to the Museum and all activities will be free!
