European Archaeology Days at the Krapina Neanderthal Museum

Krapina Neanderthal Museum

On Saturday, 15 June 2024, a program was held in the Krapina Neanderthal Museum as part of the celebration of the European Archaeology Days.

In addition to a free tour of the permanent exhibition with professional guidance and a tour of the Hušnjakovo site, numerous visitors, about a hundred of them, had the opportunity to participate in workshops on the topic of human evolution, with a special emphasis on getting to know Lucy, our most famous ancestor who was discovered in Africa 50 years ago. After visiting the Museum where Lucy's reconstruction is located, the children made clay models and drawings of Lucy's skull and face in educational workshops, as well as 3D greeting cards depicting the evolution of man.
