”Kinč” Festival 2023

On Saturday, May 20, the employees of the "Old Village" Museum Kumrovec participated in the 5th Kinč Festival held in the large hall of the community center in Visoko, organized by ethnologist Tibor Martan, the Magda and Luisa Association from Madžarevo, and the Braća Radić Cultural Association from Visoko.

The theme of this year's Kinč Festival was the wreath of Saint Rita. All exhibitors, in addition to the kinč on the exhibition table, also presented a traditional cake or dessert characteristic of their region. The traditional skill of making kinč from crepe paper was presented by Biserka Krajcar, Jasna Škreblin, Biserka Pecigus, and the ethnologist curator Tihana Kušenić. The Festival was attended by 26 exhibitors from Croatia and Slovenia, and the entire event was accompanied by a rich cultural and artistic program.
