Zagreb Quartet concert

On Sunday, April 23, 2023, starting at 6 p.m., the Zagreb Quartet will perform at the Veliki Tabor Castle. The program will feature works by Antonín Dvořák, Antun Sorkočević, Juraj Tkalčić, and Joaquín Turina.

The Zagreb Quartet was founded in 1919 as the first chamber ensemble in Croatia. In its long and rich career, it has held more than five thousand concerts and recorded more than 60 records. It has received numerous domestic and international awards and recognitions, of which the "Vladimir Nazor" Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded in 2009, stands out. The current lineup consists of Martin Krpan (violin), Hrvoje Philips (viola), Martin Jordan (cello), and Davor Philips (violin).
