International Bat Night again this year at the Krapina Neanderthal Museum
Again this year, the Krapina Neanderthal Museum hosted the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Areas of Nature of the Krapina-Zagorje County Zagorje zeleno on the occasion of the International Night of Bats.
The rich program was held on September 8 in the atrium of the Krapina Museum, and was led by Dijana Hršak, director of the Public Institution Zagorje zeleno, who, with her team and in cooperation with Mirna Mazija and Zrinka Domazetović from the Tragus Association and Miljenka Presečki from the Krapina City Library, prepared interesting activities for the large audience this year. After the introductory greetings of the host, the head of the Museum Eduard Vasiljević, there was a lecture on bats given by Zrinka Domazetović, an expert on these useful flying mammals, and afterwards the youngest could enjoy interesting stories told to them by Miljenka Presečki. In addition to the mandatory creative workshops led by employees of the Zagorje zeleno Public Institution, visitors also participated in a fun quiz this year and won numerous valuable prizes, and a particularly exciting part of the program was the search for bats using a bat detector.
Of course, after a nice and educational gathering, both young and old visitors went home decorated with bat tattoos made by students Ivana Levak and Matea Martinović.
