International Museum Day in Veliki Tabor Castle

On 18 May 2024 the International Museum Day was celebrated in Veliki Tabor Castle.

Given that this year's theme was "Museums for education and research", the Veliki Tabor Castle prepared an interesting program for visitors aimed at understanding, discovery and learning. Through two professional guides, visitors were introduced to museum objects, history, stories and legends related to Veliki Tabor. Museum-educational workshops were also held. At the "Let's step into the nobility" workshop, the participants first learned about heraldry, and then had the opportunity to apply what they had learned by creating shields with their own coat of arms. The workshop "Let's explore the roots of our counts" introduced the participants to the most important members of the Rattkay family through the search for missing members in the genealogy of famous greats!
