Museum eudcators of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje presented educational programs at the 6th international conference ”Schools/kindergartens and museums/galleries”
From 20 to 22 April 2023, the VI International Conference Schools/Kindergartens and Museums/Galleries was held in Rogaška Slatina, bringing together numerous experts and employees of schools and museums from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia to educate themselves, share experiences and connect with each other.
Museum educators from Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje also spoke about the contemporary challenges of the theory and practice of museum pedagogy at the conference, as part of their presentations and presentations of implemented educational programs. Tatjana Brlek, museum advisor at the "Old Village" Museum in Kumrovec, held a presentation entitled Museum in School, School in the Museum, Lorka Lončar Uvodić, senior museum pedagogue at the Krapina Neanderthal Museum, participated with the presentation Interactive and Creative Forms of Acquiring Knowledge about Prehistory, and Kristina Pavlović, museum pedagogue at the Veliki Tabor Castle and Petra Šoltić, museum pedagogue at the Antun Augustinčić Gallery in Klanjec, presented the MHZ educational program On Horseback to the Museums with the presentation On Horseback to the Museums - Idea, Coordination, Realization. The conference program contained four sections (School/pedagogical plans and museums in the context of education, Cross-curricular connections (correlation) in schools and museums, Museums and identity formation, and Contemporary museum-pedagogical approach and peculiarities of museum-pedagogical didactics), and participants visited the Afrodita factory, the Rogaška Glassworks, the Rogatec Handicraft Center and Open-Air Museum, and Strmol Castle.
