Night of Fortresses in Veliki Tabor Castle – the magic of the past in Desinić

On Friday, May 9, 2025, starting at 4 p.m., Veliki Tabor Castle will reopen its doors in a completely new light! A rich and attractive program will take visitors on an unforgettable journey through time on the occasion of the Night of Fortresses event.

This magical evening will consist of medieval games, workshops, archery, calligraphy and legends that come to life within the walls of one of the most beautiful Croatian castles. A special experience will be provided by a thematic guide with Veronika Desinićka, a knightly spectacle with a fight for the Golden Chalice, as well as a spectacular fire show of the Society of the Knights of the Golden Chalice that will take place under the night sky. As part of the event, a visiting exhibition of the Trakošćan Castle will also be opened, Trakošćan: from castle to museum, and for the youngest and the young at heart, workshops and games of the Company of the Golden Hops, as well as archery, will be organized. Throughout the program, visitors will be entertained by the musical duo 2K.

• 16:00 – workshops and games of the Company of the Golden Hops
• 17:00 – Archery workshop
• 18:00 – opening of the exhibition Trakošćan: from castle to museum
• 19:30 – fight for the Golden Chalice and cannon firing
• 20:00 – costumed night tour
• 21:00 – night fire show

Admission is charged according to the regular price list of the Veliki Tabor Castle, and the paid ticket includes the possibility of participating in all event activities.
