Notice about the closure of the Peasants' Revolt Museum in Gornja Stubica
Dear visitors,
The Peasants' Revolt Museum, upon completion of the structural renovation of the building, begins the complete and energetic renovation of the building and the landscaping of the Oršić Castle in which it is located. The renovation includes construction works on the restoration of the castle and landscaping of the park. Due to the works, we are forced to close our doors to visitors on 1 March 2024.
The renovation project is financed by the European Union within the NextGenerationEU package. The purpose of the program is the implementation of measures to protect the cultural heritage of public buildings damaged in the earthquake on 22 March 2020, and energy restoration within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026. The total value of the investment is 7.181.317,56 EUR.
We thank you for your understanding and see you in the new museum display in the renovated and energy-efficient castle in the summer of 2026.
