The first workshop of the second edition of the ”On Horseback to the Museums” program was held in Kumrovec

The program On Horseback to the Museums began at the "Old Village" Museum in Kumrovec. On Sunday afternoon, a cheerful group of our youngest lovers of tradition gathered to make and paint a traditional wooden horse.

While having fun, we learned about toy making and the masters of this traditional craft, which is on the List of Protected Intangible Heritage in the Register of Cultural Properties of the Republic of Croatia, and the Art of Making Traditional Wooden Toys from the Hrvatsko Zagorje Region is also included on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity. We were most delighted by the imaginative horses painted by children during the workshop!
