In a festive and cheerful atmosphere, with the loud echo of gunshots from firelock guns, on Monday, 1 April, the traditional event "Easter Monday in Veliki Tabor" was held in Veliki Tabor Castle. The event began at 2 p.m. with a ceremonial line-up and presentation of eleven firelock gun societies from Desinić, Pregrada, Hum na Sutli, Jakovlje, Sveta Nedjelja, Zagorska Sela and Kraljevac na Sutli. The event was also attended by guests from the Tabor Tourist Association from Slovenia, who presented their association to the visitors dressed in uniforms and dresses of high nobility.

In front of a large audience, Jurica Sabol, director of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje, and Milivoj Dravinec, president of the firelock gun association "Desinićka kubura", spoke about the event on behalf of the organizers. Mayor Zvonko Škreblin addressed the visitors on behalf of the municipality of Desinić with a few appropriate words, after which the representatives of the visiting societies presented their activities in a few sentences.

The event "Easter Monday" was realized in cooperation with the firelock gun society "Desinićka kubura" and the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje - Veliki Tabor Castle with the aim of preserving our intangible cultural heritage and promoting and popularizing the activities of firelock gun societies.
This year's edition of the Easter Monday event, which has been held in Veliki Tabor since 2013, was visited by a record number of visitors.
