The anniversary edition of the event ”Easter Monday in Veliki Tabor” was held

In a festive and joyful atmosphere, with the echoing of gunshots from holsters, the jubilee edition of the Easter Monday in Veliki Tabor event was held last Monday at Veliki Tabor Castle. The event was marked by the celebration of a double anniversary: ​​10 years of holding the event and 30 years of the Kubura society "Desinićka kubura", which, together with the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje - Veliki Tabor Castle, is the organizer of the event.

The program began at 2 p.m. with a ceremonial lineup and presentation of ten Kubura societies from Desinić, Pregrada, Hum na Sutli, Jakovlje, Zagorska Sela, Kraljevec na Sutli and Radoboj. Renata Dečman, head of Veliki Tabor Castle, and Milivoj Dravinec, president of the Kuburaški društvo "Desinićka kubura" spoke about the event on behalf of the organizers in front of a large audience. Zlatko Šorša, president of the Krapina-Zagorje County Assembly, also addressed the visitors with a few appropriate words. On this occasion, Marjan Berić and Milivoj Dravinec, presidents of the "Ban Toma Erdödy" Kačkovec and "Desinićka kubura" gunpowder societies, presented certificates of appreciation to the organizers and participants of the event. The guests were then shown the art of filling gunpowder and making gunpowder, which was taken care of by Danijel Crnić and gunpowder maker Josip Jesih. The gathered gunpowder players then lined up in front of Veliki Tabor, where they fired from their gunpowder and cannons. The event ended with a socializing session with a musical performance by the tamburitza band Victory.

This year's edition of the Easter Monday event, launched in Veliki Tabor in 2013, recorded a record attendance with more than 500 guests.
