Repeated collaboration between the Gallery and Bedekovčina High School

For the second year in a row, an educational program was held as part of the cooperation between the Antun Augustinčić Gallery and the Bedekovčina High School. The program was conducted from February 5 to 9, 2024.

The educational program is intended for assistant ceramic producers, students of the two-year program of the Bedekovčina High School.

The program included a guided tour through the Gallery and Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery. A specially adapted interactive exhibition on the history of art, from Egypt, Greece, Rome, Romanesque and Renaissance art to modern architecture and sculpture. Also included was an exhibition on the interesting history of Croatian ceramics of the 20th century, from Hinko Juhn to Jugokeramika or later Inker.

In addition, the three-day workshops continued with modeling the human figure on sculptural structures. The entire program was specially designed and adapted for students of the two-year assistant ceramic producer program from the Bedekovčina High School. Each student's task was to create a figure modeled after themselves.

The students and their assistants also participated in the tactile workshop of Antun Augustinčić's sculptures Touch of memory / memory of touch and the presentation of the educational film Recipe for Sculpture, which describes the making of a plaster cast of a figure.
