Promotion of the book ”Baroque in Croatia by Tošo Dabac and Oktavijan Miletić” in the Peasants' Revolt Museum

Peasants' Revolt Museum

On Friday, 1 March 2024, at the instigation of colleagues from the Cultural Information Center, the Peasants' Revolt Museum presented the book "Baroque in Croatia by Tošo Dabac and Oktavijan Miletić" by historian, filmologist and Egyptologist Daniel Rafaelić. Along with the presentation of the book, those gathered could watch two films that are mentioned in the book: "Baroque in Croatia" and "Belec". The book "Baroque in Croatia" has a special meaning for us because the film is based on the memoirs of Count Adam Oršić and was filmed, for the most part, in the Oršić Castle in Gornja Bistra. Daniel Rafaelić sovereignly took us through the atmosphere of filmmaking and introduced us to the protagonists who created the film, but in the conversation he also touched on other topics related to film heritage. The presentation was followed by a book signing and an informal gathering. The interview with the author was conducted by the head of the Peasants' Revolt Museum, Vlatka Filipčić Maligec.

This was the last event before the beginning of the restoration of the castle.
