Celebrating living heritage! Traditional sculptural materials and techniques – clay, stone, wood
Celebrating living heritage! Traditional sculptural materials and techniques – clay, stone, wood, Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery, 4 – 6 October 2023, from 9 am to 5 pm – a series of all-day sculptural workshops on the occasion of European Heritage Days 2023 with the theme Sustainability of Heritage
On the occasion of European Heritage Days 2023 with the theme Living Heritage, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 4, 5 and 6 October 2023, from 9 am to 5 pm, we are waiting for you in a festive atmosphere at the Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery in Klanjec, Ulica dr. Ivana Broza 2.
Living heritage is the basis of all human activity, including artistic ones. The values and beliefs that we inherit, the practices, knowledge and skills that are passed down from generation to generation can be read from every artifact. Intangible heritage is contained in tangible heritage, and one way to keep heritage alive is through the sculpture workshops of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery.
For the days dedicated to living heritage, we have prepared a three-part cycle of full-day sculpture workshops that will deal with traditional sculptural materials and techniques – clay, stone and wood – which Antun Augustinčić also masterfully used. Over the three days, three workshops will be held in the Gallery Studio, one each day. They will be led by the Gallery's museum pedagogue, M.A. in Sculpture Petra Šoltić, and visitors can join them at any time during the day, demonstrate their acquired knowledge and skills, and adopt new ones.
Welcome!
