”Secrets of Swords” – a historical tournament and exhibition at Veliki Tabor Castle

We invite you to the unique event Secrets of Swords, which will take place on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, from 12:00 PM, in the beautiful surroundings of Veliki Tabor Castle!

This special event includes:

• Historical fencing tournament – ​​follow the exciting tournament of the Ars Gladiatoria Zagreb association, which will feature real fights and demonstrations of historical fencing skills,
• Exhibition of cold weapons and protective equipment – ​​you will have the opportunity to view the exhibition of cold weapons and protective equipment from the Cultural and Historical Collection of Veliki Tabor Castle, which includes fascinating examples of swords, knives, halberds and protective armor, as well as other historical weapons, collected over the past 20 years,
• Archery workshop – feel the excitement of archery – become an archer for a day and try your hand at this ancient discipline,
• Secret Sword Quest workshop – join the family quest for the secret sword, with the possibility of winning a prize – lunch at the Grešna gorica restaurant.

The Ars Gladiatoria association is dedicated to the study of historical combat techniques. Their members regularly train and teach how to use techniques from the past, with modern protection and blunt swords.

Admission is charged according to the regular price list.
