For the third year in a row, the collaboration between the Augustinčić and Bedekovčina High School has been repeated
From January 13 to 17, 2025, an educational program created in collaboration with the Antun Augustinčić Gallery and the Bedekovčina High School was held in Klanjec for the third time in a row.
The program was designed for students of the two-year program of the Bedekovčina High School who are studying for the profession of assistant ceramic manufacturer.
The program included a guided tour through the Gallery and Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery. The students participated in the museum workshop Touch of Memory / Memory of Touch, where, while tactilely noticing the elements of the form of three of Augustinčić's bronze sculptures, portraits of historical figures, and the master's contemporaries, they had to guess which sculpture they were touching while blindfolded.
In addition, the three-day workshops continued with modeling self-portraits on sculptural structures. By creating self-portraits, the students were encouraged to develop self-confidence and a love of creation. On the clay self-portraits, the students made plaster molds that they would use in the continuation of the school program. Ceramic self-portraits of students will be cast and glazed from plaster molds. The students, together with their teaching assistants and teacher Mladen Gorički, also participated in the presentation of the educational film Recipe for Sculpture, which describes the making of a plaster cast of a figure.
