In the company of a Neanderthal at the Vučedol Culture Museum

Krapina Neanderthal Museum

As part of the Science Festival program, educational workshops of the Krapina Neanderthal Museum were held yesterday at the Vučedol Culture Museum.

Third and fifth grade students participated in the guest workshops and got to know the world of Neanderthals in an interactive way. Through the making of prehistoric bags, axes and spears, the children got to know the way of life of our ancestors in the Stone Age, especially the life and culture of the Krapina Neanderthal. The workshop, led by senior museum pedagogue Lorka Lončar Uvodić in collaboration with senior curator Eduard Vasiljević, was an excellent way to connect with the exhibition Krapina Prehistoric Man by Jurica Sabol, which the Krapina Neanderthal Museum is hosting at the Vučedol Museum and which the children toured with an expert guide after the workshop.
