As part of European Heritage Days, children built their own small museum at Hušnjakovo

Krapina Neanderthal Museum

This year, the Krapina Neanderthal Museum actively participated in the celebration of European Heritage Days. On Saturday, October 11, the Krapina Museum followed up this year's theme, Architectural Heritage: A Window to the Past, a Look into the Future, with an educational and extremely creative workshop for the youngest, My Little Museum. The children were introduced to interesting prehistoric topics, and then took on the roles of paleontologists, architects, and designers, creating a model of their imagined museum.

Take a peek at the Dinosaur Museum, the Bone Museum, the Museum of Large Dinosaurs, and the Jurassic Park!

The workshop was led by museum educators Mirjana Biljan and Lorka Lončar Uvodić.

As part of this year's jubilee European Heritage Days, the Krapina Neanderthal Museum offered visitors a free tour of the permanent exhibition and the Hušnjakovo Site on Sunday, October 12. The event will end on Friday, October 24, at 12 noon, with the ceremonial opening of an exhibition on the theme of prehistoric flora.
