Zagorje wedding in Kumrovec

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the authentic ambience of the "Old Village" Museum in Kumrovec, for the 42nd time, the Zagorje Wedding was held - a unique event that revives the rich tradition of wedding customs of the Hrvatsko Zagorje region.

Thanks to the Zipka Ethno Association and their guests, visitors were able to experience what weddings in our region used to look like - with song, dance and folk costumes. Throughout the day, masters of traditional crafts and skills presented their skills in the authentic ambience of a Zagorje village from the early 20th century, and a workshop on making traditional jewelry - bodec was also held.

The Zagorje Wedding is our longest-running event and proudly preserves the tradition of wedding customs of the Hrvatsko Zagorje region, emphasized Anita Paun-Gadža, head of the "Old Village" Museum in Kumrovec.
