Lucija Sekelj – Natan Sudec – Ema Zavacki, Klanjec, Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery, November 17, 2023 – January 17, 2024

The exhibition Lucija Sekelj – Natan Sudec – Ema Zavacki will open at the Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery in Klanjec on November 17, 2023, at 6 p.m. The exhibition will be open until January 17, 2024.

As part of this year's thirteenth collaboration between the Antun Augustinčić Gallery in Klanjec and the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, talented young sculptors Lucija Sekelj, Natan Sudec and Ema Zavacki have been selected to present their works at a solo exhibition at the GAA Studio.

Lucija Sekelj was born in 1998 in Zagreb, where she graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design (Sculpture Department) and enrolled in the study of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated in 2023 in the class of Prof. Igor Ruf. At the exhibition, she presents her wooden-metal construction complemented by sound, which addresses the topic of stress in humans and dogs.

Natan Sudec was born in 1998 in Zagreb, where he graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design (Department of Metal Design) and enrolled in the study of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated in 2023 in the class of Prof. Alem Korkut. In Klanjec, she exhibits her ambient sculptural ensemble, which illustrates the consequences of the clash of individuality and authenticity of an individual with the limitations of social molds.

Ema Zavacki was born in 1996 in Zagreb, where she graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design (Sculpture Department) and enrolled in the study of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated in 2023 in the class of Prof. Dalibor Stošić. The nude exhibited at the GAA Studio proves that the skill of performing figurative sculpture is very much present among young sculptors.

The exhibition, accompanied by a catalogue, was realized in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. The author of the exhibition is Davorin Vujčić, and it can be viewed daily, except Mondays, from 9 am to 4 pm.
