The Antun Augustinčić Gallery Studio in Klanjec officially opened the exhibition 50 Years of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery, marking half a century of the work of this important museum and cultural institution. The exhibition was opened by Anuška Deranja Crnokić, Director of the Directorate for Archives, Libraries and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Media, who pointed out that the gallery has been one of the key places for the preservation and promotion of Croatian sculptural heritage for decades.

The director of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery, Davorin Vujčić, spoke about the gallery's rich history, emphasizing that the institution, from Antun Augustinčić's initial idea to donate part of his oeuvre to his native Klanjec, has grown into a reference center for Croatian sculpture with more than 500 works of art, more than 140 exhibitions and many years of publishing activity. He particularly highlighted the journal Anali Galerije Antuna Augustinčića, which has been continuously published for 45 years.

The gathering was also addressed by the Mayor of Klanjec, Zlatko Brlek, who emphasized the importance of the gallery for the city's cultural identity, and the Prefect of Krapina-Zagorje County, Željko Kolar, who shared a personal memory of the opening of the gallery 50 years ago, when Josip Broz Tito arrived in Klanjec with his wife Jovanka. The Director of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje, Jurica Sabol, presented plans for the future development of the gallery, including the renovation of the old building and new program content.

As part of the anniversary celebration, an exhibition of archival materials, photographs and documentation was presented, showing the development of the gallery from 1976 to the present, as well as a documentary film about the history of the museum by Sven Šams, Head of Marketing and Public Relations of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje. The Wall of Fame dedicated to all employees who have participated in the development of the gallery over the past decades also attracted special attention.
