Exhibition Opening: ”Play, Learning, Creativity, Experience – 30 Years of Museum Education at the “Old Village” Museum Kumrovec”

The exhibition Play, Learning, Creativity, Experience – 30 Years of Museum Education at the “Old Village” Museum Kumrovec, by museum advisor Tatjana Brlek, will present the development of museum education at the “Old Village” Kumrovec Museum.

A selection of photographs will showcase the wide range of workshops that have been organised at the Museum for the past 30 years, including the From Grain to Bread workshop. The Museum’s educational programmes have also been presented at international professional conferences and accompanied by numerous educational publications.

The particular importance of the Museum’s educational programmes is reflected in its cooperation with the local community, as demonstrated by the organisation of numerous events.

On the day of the exhibition opening, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., a programme of workshops for children will be jointly organised by the “Naša djeca” Kumrovec Society, the “Kolovrat” Tuhelj Ethnographic Association and the “Old Village” Kumrovec Museum.

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue of the same title and will remain open to visitors until 1 November 2026.
