The exhibition ”Religions of the Stone Age” was officially opened

On April 22, 2023, Krapina Neanderthal Museum opened a guest exhibition of the Archaeological Museum Zadar entitled Religions of the Stone Age.

The purpose of the exhibition is to introduce visitors to the belief system of our ancestors, from the oldest religious manifestations of the Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods to those in the Neolithic period. The material includes objects from Europe, the Middle East, and Croatia, with an emphasis on the Neolithic period of Dalmatia (collection of the Archaeological Museum Zadar). The authors of the exhibition, Natalija Čondić and Ivor Karavanić, addressed the audience, and the director of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje, Jurica Sabol, solemnly declared the exhibition open. The program on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition was led by the director of the Krapina Neanderthal Museum, Eduard Vasiljević.

The exhibition will be open until August 20, 2023.
