Viktor and Helena Šipek – Memorial Collection

Peasants' Revolt Museum

The exhibition presents the memorial collection of Viktor and Helena Šipek. The core of the collection consists of the works of father Viktor, one of the best Zagorje painters and probably the best Zagorje watercolorist, and his daughter Helena, a painter and donor.
The generous donation of Helena Šipek, thanks to the careful selection of the author herself, provides a cross-section of her entire oeuvre, and the donated paintings and sketches by Viktor Šipek are a valuable addition to the holdings, given that the Museum already had about 20 of Šipek's paintings in its collection.

The exhibition will also present some of the donated documentary material and objects that will bring the authors even closer to the audience.
