Fifty years of the Museum of Peasants' Revolts
On Friday, October 20, 2023, an exhibition was opened in the Museum of Peasants' Revolts on the occasion of fifty years of the Museum's work.
Exhibitions, events, programs and people who marked the Museum's work were presented, and museum collections were also presented. The exhibition was presented by the author, and opened by the representative of the Minister of Culture and Media, Anuška Deranja Crnokić, director of the Directorate for Archives, Libraries and Museums. Jurica Sabol, director of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje, Jasmin Krizmanić, mayor of the municipality of Gornja Stubica, Željko Kolar, prefect of the Krapina-Zagorje County and Žarko Tušek, representative of the President of the Croatian Parliament, addressed those present at the opening.
The exhibition is part of the joint program marking the 450th anniversary of the Great Peasants' Revolt, as part of the "Buna/Upor/Revolt" project carried out by Croatian and Slovenian museums (Posavje Museum Brežice, Božidar Jakac Gallery, Kostanjevica na Krki, Krško Local Museum, Brdovec Museum, Museum of Peasants' Revolts and the Zagreb City Museum).
