Project Objective
The objective of the project is to promote and strengthen cross-border cultural tourism by offering a smaller number of unique, high-quality experiences that reflect local and historical identities, through the integration and presentation of cultural heritage for tourism purposes, as well as the development and implementation of new cultural tourism experiences and cultural tourism offers in rural areas, in line with the needs of vulnerable groups.
Main Focus of the Project
The current project focuses on the development, testing and optimisation of pilot models aimed at strengthening cultural tourism through various cultural experiences and events under the theme Culture of Life in ‘Living’ Castles, bringing together culture, cuisine, music, wine and various experiential activities.
It will also focus on pilot models for improving the visitor experience through digital solutions, including digitalisation and gamification, as well as digital solutions for the identification, interpretation and presentation of cultural heritage.
A further focus will be on pilot models for the inclusion of vulnerable groups, including the enhancement and/or development of tourism experiences and tourism offers tailored to their needs, as well as their involvement in the co-creation of the tourism offer.
